RAW MATERIALS
Here you will find information about the raw materials used in Astral Joaillerie's jewellery creations.
At Astral Joaillerie, we specialise in crafting jewellery using 925 sterling silver with 18K gold plating in either yellow or rose gold. This material is chosen for its robustness and durability over time. Currently, we do not offer our creations in other materials.
At Astral Joaillerie, we use 18K gold for our plating. This means that the gold is 18 karats, which is equivalent to 750 parts per thousand (750/1000) pure gold. This standard ensures the durability and quality of our jewellery.
Our 18K gold plating aligns with our commitment to ethical practices. We are dedicated to responsible sourcing and are working with our suppliers to transition towards recycled materials in the near future. This effort reflects our ongoing dedication to sustainability and ethical standards in jewellery production.

All our stones are responsibly sourced according to strict quality and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) charters, such as the Kimberley Process, from trusted partners who have been with us since our beginnings. Our diamonds originate from mines worldwide, primarily in Africa and Canada, and sometimes Australia for our opals. They are Kimberley Process certified. Our sapphires are natural, untreated sapphires from Madagascar. Learn more
We use AA or AAA grade stones, depending on the item and availability. We can also offer superior quality upon request and quotation.
Thanks to our historical partners, we can offer higher quality stones than those in our collection upon request and quotation. Please contact our team for more information. However, we do not offer inferior quality stones to ensure ethical and high-quality creations for our customers.
As our stones are ordered in batches to offer optimised prices, we do not receive a GIA certificate for each stone. However, if you wish to select a particular stone quality, we can request a GIA certificate from our supplier.
Each piece of our jewellery is delivered with a certificate of authenticity, detailing the name of the jewel, the weight of the stones, and the colour of the gold used. The price is not indicated on this certificate but appears on the invoice sent to you via email or provided in printed form upon request.
